The Royal Spring Middle School PTSA

will be sponsoring a semi-formal dance for all RSMS Students.

The 2010 RSMS “Titan Ball”

will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010

in the RSMS Cafeteria from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

All RSMS students and faculty are invited to attend the dance. Refreshments will be on sale during the dance and a DJ will be there to play the students favorite music. A photographer will also be on hand to take formal pictures. The dress requirement is semi-formal or “Sunday Best”.

Tickets will be $5.00 in advance or $7.00 at the door. There will be dates for students to purchase their tickets in advance, but students will also be able to purchase tickets the evening of the dance.

Please remember that ONLY CURRENT RSMS Students are permitted to attend the dance.

If you would like to volunteer to help out at the dance please note the area below you would like to volunteer for and return the attached portion of this letter to your child’s teacher no later than Wednesday, March 3^rd or contact Carmen Wallin 570-2390 ext.1342 or by e-mail carmen.wallin@scott.kyschools.us

Please note that only those parents who have had volunteer training will be allowed to assist.

Titan Times for February 26, 2010

There will be baseball practice on Monday from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Anne Mason in the gym.  Following practice, there will be a MANDATORY parent meeting from 7:00-7:30 pm.

The Scott County Ninth Grade School will hold Parent Orientation for incoming freshman students on Monday, March 8, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the high school gym.  Unlike years past, there will only be one orientation this year. 

Teachers from Elkhorn Crossing School, the Ninth Grade School, and Scott County High School will be on hand to talk with you about courses and other pertinent information that you will need to know.

       Hip! Hip! Hooray!  The Royal Spring Middle School 8^th Grade Titans have made it to the championship.  On Monday, February 22, 2010, the Titans will play Scott County Middle School at Woodford County Middle School in Versailles, Kentucky.  Royal Spring will be taking a pep bus (two if we can fill them) to this game in order to show our support!  We will be accepting the permission slips on a first come, first serve basis.  The cost will be $3.00 for transportation and a $2.00 admission to the game.  Students may want to bring additional money for concessions. 

The pep bus will be leaving Royal Spring Middle School at 6:00pm.  Students will need to go home and come back to school by 5:45pm.  If this is a problem, please email Ms. Flynn at melanie.flynn@scott.kyschools.us or call her at the school on Monday.  The bus will be returning to Royal Spring Middle School at approximately 9:00pm.  Parents will need to be prompt in picking up their students.  Please send back the attached permission slip with your student by Monday, February 22, 2010.  In case of bad weather and a game postponement, the game will be rescheduled for the day that we return to school and the pep bus will be going to the game on that day.
